CA Child Support & LLC?
I'm forming an LLC with a partner. We have business expenses and payroll to meet. I'm currently in child support arrears and have had levys placed on my personal accounts. I'm worried about two things: 1) can the state levy the LLC business account, causing problems with payroll and business expenses? and 2) can the state use the company income to increase my child support payments? Honestly, the company money will be completely separate from my own, and the business can fail if we can't pay our bills or meet payroll. The profit belongs to the company (ultimately the partners), so it's not really mine to use for child support payments anyway.
