Reading Aloud to 3rd Grade Cl?

I've been asked to read aloud to my son's 3rd grade cl. I was going to read a chapter from Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing, by the wonderful Judy Blume, but I thought I'd read something more "holiday-like". Does anyone have any suggestions that would be acceptable for a 3rd grade clroom (something 'neutral' . . I can't focus on one kind of celebration or another) that would take about 15 minutes to read aloud? Thanks so much!
