Adam and Eve were perfect before they were supposed to have eaten the fruit, Correct?

Indeed, Adam and Eve were perfect. However, they are also finite and not self-sustaining. Thus, when Adam sought to be autonomous from God, he set up his wife to see if she would die when eating of the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. When she did not die "immediately" he thought that he could eat as well. Immediately, they fell, lost their glory and recognized that they were naked and hid themselves from the pre-Incarnate Christ.
