Is aspergers syndrome hereditary?

Yes, Asperger's is genetic and tends to run in families. There is a greater chance that your children will have Asperger's too. Still, there are no guarantees - two parents with Asperger's might have a neurotypical child, while two neurotypical parents might have a child with Asperger's. It's probably best if you adopt...my mom has Asperger's, and if I grew up with her saying AS is a "ridiculous f**king condition" she hated, I'd have a lot more issues than I do now.
