Why is it that me being atheist makes people ume that I'm innately promiscuous?

I suppose it's because religious people have rules like not having before marriage and similar, so some ignorami ume atheists to be the polar opposite of that. Seriously though it sounds like the girl was a bit embarred about the situation and being knocked back and tried to laugh it off by saying that. I wouldn't worry about it.
