Would Republican policy with regard to Georgia differ, and how?

Meeting with President Saakashvili in Tbilisi, Hillary Clinton rebuked Russia and repeatedly referred to the occupation of South Ossetia and Abkhazia (the breakaway territories are currently recognized only by Russia, Venezuela, Nicaragua and that fearsome superpower known as Nauru... oh and the Polisario, which no one else recognizes; Russia hasn't even been able to bully the dictator of Belarus into recognizing their sovereignty). Bearing in mind Steele's gaffe re Afghanistan, which suggests that some Republicans will criticize Obama's policies even when they are completely in accord with Republican positions, what is the Republican view on Georgia? Would a McCain administration's Secretary of State have phrased things any differently? Would it do anything differently?
