i work in a facility that puts me in direct contact with chromium trioxide anhydrous. I chrome plate rolls for steel mills. The hexvailant chromium is mixed with sulfuric acid and used to plate the steel rolls with chrome. How often should an individual in these working conditions be checked for possable chrome poisioning or unacceptable levels of chrome exposure? I can not devulge the company that I work for, as for a fear of disciplinary action.

My husband wants to work more than he wants to spend time with my son and I.?

I've been happily (for the most part) married to my husband for a couple of years now. He's an artist and works out of our home. Four months ago, we started our family when I had our son Theodore. He's a GREAT dad! The best really. He watches him while I work full time. He's very attentive and nurturing. Plus he get's up for most of the night time feedings. As far as a dad's concerned -I couldn't ask for more. However, it seem in the past couple of months we've become more like two ships ping in the night. It feels like punching in and out of a job. As soon as I get home from work he wants to hand the baby off and go work on his art. On my days off he spends all of his time in his studio downstairs working and I'm left to take care of the little one all day. Don't get me wrong -there's nothing I'd love more than to spend all of my time off with my son, but I want to spend it with my husband too. I feel like we're really drifting apart. He get's some work done durring the day while the baby naps and plays so it just seems like he'd have a little more time to spend with the baby and me as a family. I get home around 2pm and he's gone in his studio until 1-3am. I haven't gone to bed at the same time with my husband in months and I feel like I didnt get married so I could lay in bed alone every night. I don't even feel like I can talk to him anymore because he's always angry and snippy complaining about all the work he has to do and not enough time. I have a job were I punch in for 8 hours and then punch out and go home. I dont bring my work home with me, I dont work late or go in early or work on my days off so I just feel like maybe he needs a more scheduled life. He hasn't taken a day off and not drawn or painted in over a year and a half. He even brought his sketching pads to the hospital in the delivery room! I've tried to talk to him about it and he just gets mad saying he has a pion and a responsibility to his art. I do think he deserves to work on his art, but I feel he also has a responsibility to the family and needs to make sacrifices to be with us sevral times a week. When I suggested this to him he offered to give up Tuesday and Thursday evenings but not the day time if it happens to be my day off and he said he'l most likely wait for me to go to bed and then he'll get back up and go work. I don't feel like that's enough but I dont want to be selfish either. Should I just let it go? I should mention in all fairness, that he is an excellent house keeper and a good friend to me other than the work thing. I would say he's generally a great husband but the lack of time he wants to spend as a family is really getting on my last nerve!

First, you don't know if she really was the one that turned the gas on full blast. And, second if it was on that high, you should have been able to smell it coming off the grill as you stepped near it. It's possible that one of your kids was playing with the grill and didn't know what they were doing. Or, maybe you just wanted to ask a question and see what people out in the world would answer. My answer is this...get a charcoal grill so this away you can always be the one to light it and know that your not going to get "blown up" by a propane tank. Where it would be four girls sharing an apartment (this is student housing)What I want to know is how can the get a judgment against both she and my husband.They want both of them to pay the full amount of the lease and they have also rented the apartment my daughter wanted to live in with her friends.Also they told her that they had no others open for her to move into. If there are none available how can they sue she and my husband for something that they have already rented and are being paid for. How can I loose weight for football while playing baseball?

I'm a freshman in high school and I played varsity football but I also play baseball during the off season. I'm really strong an in shape but I still have a lot of fat. Why did some of you become christian?

I guess you can say I became christian, out of desperation. My mother abandoned me long ago. I was sent to different relatives houses, kids at school always picked on me, and the teachers were no help at all and I was always shoved off to different schools because I moved so much. My older sister who is in her 30's hurt me spiritually and emotionally with her words calling me all sorts of hurtful names making me feel worthless. My dad ped away and believe me every time I try to take charge, or take some responsibility and control over my life, It gets harder everyday and I felt so overwhelmed and tired, I felt like I could not go on. So my other sister( I have a lot of sisters) told me about Jesus so I decided to give him a try. Well my problems did not go away completely, as a matter of fact it got harder, but it became more bearable for me to live a while longer until it was my time to p away. I know to some it sounds pathetic but I don't care, I can finally live my life and make something out of it with some comfort and hope in the near future.

14 years old and never kissed a girl. HELP!?

I'm a 14 and a half year old guy and me and my friends just finished year 9. To celebrate we decided to go to the movies. (Harry potter! XD) anyway... We were about half way through the film and I turned to my friend to comment on a funny reference in the movie, only to notice that he was practically eating his new girlfriends face. This happened a lot during the movie, which I am fine with. Only after all the hi-fives and bad puns i started felling sad/jealous... (not so much jealous as sad) sad/jealous that he was younger than me and I had never even gotten close to kissing a girl. Me being one of the smarter people in school doesn't help me either because their are only two girls that I enjoy socializing with because a lot of the other girls in my year just take one look at me rule me out completely. I hate being typecast as a nerd, although it is good at times. Anyway I don't feel Uncomfortable around these girls and I really like one. She is everything I could think of in my dream girl. She doesn't want to date anyone though, she says it is because she thinks year nine is too young. The night after the movies though all I could think about was how I'm too much of a wimp to even try asking her out, and thoughts of me being the only guy who hasn't kissed anyone. My best friend is in a similar situation with the other girl we are friends with. I really need some help because now I just feel depressed and kinda lonely =( it isn't anything like i repulse girls. I've even been told I'm fairly good looking, blonde mid length hair, fit, zits under control and not completely terrible at fashion... Sorry, I got sidetracked. My husband was involved in an incident in April involving another man. We were in the same circle as this other man, so we both knew him equally well. This other man had posted a comment on my(the wife) facebook page of a ual nature which was naturally offensive to my husband. I completely cut myself off from said individual, deleted him from my friends list, blocked him from my facebook, avoided him altogether. That is when he started texting my phone repeatedly. He wanted to know why I deleted him, called me every name you could think of, none of which I responded to. So my husband decided to confront the man, told him he didn't appreciate the comments or the constant texting, blah, blah, then the guy laughs in my husband's face when my husband told him to never talk to me again. At that point my husband snapped, he grabbed him, pushed him on the wall and told him how serious he was. He didn't hit the guy, but he did touch him so the guy filed a complaint against him and he is now charged with second degree ault which is a cl b misdemeanor in our state. He has NEVER been in trouble before other than a couple of minor traffic violations. We are wondering at this point, given a clean criminal record, and having never been in trouble with the law before otherwise, what are the chances of him getting sentenced to more jail time? He was stopped for a burned out tail light and was arrested Thursday evening, he was in jail for 6 1/2 hours and released on a OR. At this point we are just holding our breath, praying that he is not sentenced to more jail time. Hoping someone on here has experience with criminal law and may be familiar with the statutes on ault 2 in the state of Arkansas. Thanks so much for your help. Any information is appreciated. Converting to Reform Judaism?

My father was Jewish, and my mother was Catholic, since my parents were divorced at an early age and my mom had custody over me, I was forced into Catholicism although it is never truly what I believed in. I was also forced into being confirmed. Now I'm old enough to make my own decisions and I've decided that I want to be Jewish... Reform to be exact. I have a meeting with a Rabbi today and she's going to walk me through the conversion process. I was told that reform Judiasm, being very liberal will except me as birthright through mt father's side of the family as long as I can show them I'm serious. Others have told me that I need to do years of Hebrew School before I'll be considered, I think that that's only with orthodox, or more conservative forms of the religion. Has anyone else gone through this process? What can I expect? Also, someday even if it is down the line, I would like to have a bar-mitzvah. Any insight?

Black Box on TV Screen?

My uncle bought a new HD television and when the commercial broadcast stations switched to digital, a strange problem has arisen. On one of the "main" network channels (ABC, I think) in the New York City area gets this translucent black "box" on the screen, that usually stays blank but sometimes displays text exchanges. It pops up; stays there a minute or so, than goes away, only to reappear a few minutes later. It seems to have something to do with propagation, and is worse on cloudy or rainy nights. Ok, so a couple days ago I was picking up some garbage around my room. I picked up a half-full Pepsi can that had been sitting on my floor for probably close to 2 weeks (I'm a slob, I know). To my surprise there was a brown spider under it. I'm from Northern Ohio by the way. I immediately panicked because it looked like what I had thought a Brown Recluse looked like. It wasn't very large. I didn't really see the trademark Violin shape on it's back though and no fangs were noticeable. This could have been because my carpet is also brown and the spider was hard to make out. I looked up spiders on the internet while looking at the spider and deduced that it was a wolf spider. Today though, I decided to look up wolf spiders and I discovered that they rarely invade homes and that they are larger. The spider I saw wasn't any larger than a quarter and it ran away whenever I moved anything around it. It had really straight legs but they were really long. I tried to kill it, but when I moved the book I smashed it with, it was nowhere to be found. Right now I'm freaking out because I hate spiders and I've looked up pictures of the spider bites... Is there any chance that the spider I saw was not a brown recluse?

Instead of apple, banana, and clementine, you should have had celery sticks and cuber slices with dressing. Replace your carbs with veggies and stick to less processed meats.

So last yr i was in first year of secondary school. My brother went to boarding school, (he's in his first yr of college now,) so i was kind of destined to go where he went. I persisted up until about fifth cl that it would be horrible going into those dreary dorms every Sunday night, and that i would go to day school. But i was persuaded. I spent until Christmas crying most Sunday nights and counting down the days until i could go home again. I got home every weekend which isn't too bad. But i still hated it. After Christmas i was happier, because i knew i was half way there. My mom and dad said i only had to stick one year of it and after that i could drop out and go to day school. I love the cles and teachers and my friends, but there are a few really mean people in my year and older years who just love making life misery there, as if its not hard enough as it is. Its non stop constant go there, from when we get up at 7:10 till we got to bed at 9:40p.m. Things get stolen, we have to hoover our dorms every morning, firealarms go off frequently in the middle of the night, and the meals are horrible. We only get 3 meals a day, our last one is at 5:30. I'm vegetarian so i get really run down whilst i'm there, and even the vitamins i take aren't enough. I was planning on going to a local school this year, but my report card came. I got 7 a's and 4 b's. My mom said it was so good there was no way i was going to drop out. I tried saying how hard i found it but she just said it'll take a while to settle in again. But i never settled in, i hate sharing a dorm, i constantly miss home. What should i do?? Hi! Ok. Just becuase there is not a lot of visible light out does not mean that the UV factor was not high. Sometimes the UV rays are more available on cloudy days..you know....when you burn really fast on a coudy day and go...WHOA!...Same thing can happen and it might hurt your eyes. You can not see the strong UV rays but you can feel them and if your eyes are sensitive you will feel it. It iw always best to have good sun protection even on an overcast day. Really! zSee if there is a way to look up the UV index for your area. I bet it was high today. Yeah....have a cool day!
